*NEW* Colourpop Eyeshadows (Fall 2016)

Ok, I’ll admit it….like many of you, I’m addicted to Colourpop shadows!

With their many GORGEOUS shades, long lasting power, and affordable prices…how can I not be addicted???  Especially with their new line of stunning fall colours.

For those of you who have never tried a Colourpop shadow…here’s what you need to know:

Pros:

  • There is an amazing selection of vibrant colours in a variety of finishes including PearlizedMatteMetallicSatinGlitter Sheer, and Ultra-Metallic.
  • The shadows have a wet / moussy consistency and are easy to apply and blend (I suggest using your finger, a sponge tip brush, or synthetic brush).
  • The shadows have the longest lasting power of any shadow I have ever used and have no creasing or sparkle fallout.
  • They are super affordable at only $5 US / shadow pot.

Cons:

  • Some of the shadows dryout over time (after a couple months or faster if you don’t screen the cap on tight enough)
  • Sparkles may disapear if you blend the shadow with a brush
  • Not the best quality of packaging… 2 of my lids have cracked and the logo has been rubbed on many of my lids
  • You can’t try products in person (which means that I’ve purchased a couple that were very similar bronze/rose gold tones)

Swatch time!

Colour Comparisons:

As I mentioned above, sometimes it’s  hard to decide which shadows to purchase online when you can’t swatch them in person…especially when the swatches and descriptions look and sound so similar.  To help you out, here are some comparison swatches to other Colourpop shadows.

Brady – Bill
Muse – Boy Band – Sequin – La La
White Rabbit – Game Face – Kathleenlights
Seeker – Bandit

Static – Hustle – Porter

That 8 track colour though <3 I really want to try colour pop eyeshadows but I am not sure of their shipping costs to Dubai 🙁

Recently Colourpop offered free international shipping. Keep your eyes open incase they offer it again 🙂

Wow, my favourites are Muse, Static, White Rabbit, and 8 Track! Thanks for the comparisons, I’ve not bought any ColourPop but I’m gathering my shopping list! 😉

You are amazing! I’ve been looking for comparison swatches of White Rabbit/Kathleenlights, La La/Sequin, and Static/Porter everywhere, and yours have saved me.

I’m so thrilled to hear that! I have purchased so many similar colours (both eyeshadows and lipsticks) from Colourpop because they keep launching new colours and they all sound amazing but similar. It’s hard to tell without direct comparison (and sometimes the swatches on their site aren’t the best). I’ll make sure to post more comparisons soon. Any others you would like compared (incase I have them)?

Hi! I’ve been wanting to order again from Colourpop for a while now, but I’m concerned about the fact that their shadows dry out. I know that once you open them, they’ll dry out in about 10-12 months. I’m fine with that, I was just concerned about the shadows that I have not opened yet. Do you know if I can keep them in storage for a year or so, or will they dry out even if I have not opened them yet?

    Thank you.

Hi Jenny! If you close them tight after, they should last. I find that some of the shadows are dryer then others from the beginning, but none have completely dried out after a year. Some are definitely not as creamy after a while but they are still usable. I don’t know what will happen if you keep them in storage for a year without opening, but my gut says that they should be ok. Hope that helps 🙂
