I have been LOVING purple lip shades ever since I purchased my Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Fig. So I decided to see if there were other different shades of purple that I would like just as much (and that were also 1/3 of the price).
As this is “Part 2” of my review, I’ll save us all some time and not do the full product line “pros and cons” again. Click here if you would like to see my full review with 9 other colour swatches.
I should say, once again, if you have dry lips or don’t like the look of SUPER matte lips, this formula is not for you. When I apply the product, I feel like I’m literally painting my lips as the liquid is thin and shiny and dries down extremely matte like paint. If this product line doesn’t sound like your “cup of tea”, check out my review and swatches of ColourPop’s Lippie Stix.
Note: Lumiere 2 (the first image) is the sister of Lumiere lippie stix, created by Kathleen Lights. Lumiere 2 is very similar but a little darker.
Question: Have you noticed a difference?
Have any of you noticed a difference in the ColourPop liquid lipsticks packaging? I recently purchased a couple new lip colours and I noticed that the product’s doe foot tips were smaller with large bristles and the opening of the tube was bigger. Unfortunately, the change in the doe foot made application less precise and the larger lid didn’t remove extra product so there was too much product on the applicator (and lipstick all the way up the wand) so it applied very cakey. Also, my Lumiere 2 (which I purchased before the change), has the old packaging but there was no ColourPop logo on the tube. So weird!!!
What do you think? Is it just me, or have they changed their packaging?
That’s it for now! Stay tuned for my upcoming Ultra Satin Lip swatches….and, yes, I did get one of the new Kathleen Lights colours. Which one do you think I purchased???
